MEET YOUR MAKER
I come from a long line of craftsman. My Great Great Grandfather was a thatcher, my Great Grandfather was a steel worker, and my Grandfather came to the USA from England with only his tools to build wooden boats.
My father followed in his fathers’ footsteps by building houses, and now, I’m continuing the family tradition, bringing a new wave of craftsmanship to the mix with the addition of blacksmithing.
I love the old arts and want to keep them alive and will happily teach anyone willing to learn to use their hands. By creating custom pieces focused on quality and design I am proud to share my passion with the community and keep the spirit of my ancestors alive.
Starting in my Father’s 10x12 shed making plug earrings, I was commissioned by a neighbour to build him a curio cabinet and fire place. This led us to strike a deal using his Father’s old shop with access to all the tools and material in order to grow my business working on multi-million dollar houses for 15 years.
Now, I have my own shop based in an airplane hanger and access to a multitude of tools that allow me to create unique and diverse pieces for my customers. In this shop my motto is ‘It’s not that I haven’t done it before. It’s that I haven’t done it yet’.
I started PA designs in 2012 with a dream to build quality pieces that are built to last. If you are interested in finding out more about my story, see the video below.
